The 2021 American comedy film, ‘Coming 2 America‘ serves as a sequel to the original 1988 film starring Eddie Murphy.
“Coming to America” debuted in theaters 33 years ago. Movie lovers today can enjoy the sequel “Coming 2 America” from the comfort of their couch.
Eddie Murphy and most of the cast from the original film have rejoined to make the sequel for Amazon Studios, which debuts exclusively on Prime Video on March 5.
“Set in the lush and royal country of Zamunda, newly-crowned King Akeem (Eddie Murphy) and his trusted confidante Semmi(Arsenio Hall) embark on an all-new hilarious adventure that has them traversing the globe from their great African nation to the borough of Queens, New York – where it all began,” Amazon writes of the new film.
The sequel stars Eddie Murphy, Arsenio Hall, Jermaine Fowler, Leslie Jones, Tracy Morgan, KiKi Layne, Shari Headley, Wesley Snipes and James Earl Jones.
