Nigerian-born, London-based artist, Obongjayar has released a new single titled “Wrong for It” featuring Nubya Garcia via September Recordings.
The song, “Wrong for It” was taken from Obongjayar’s latest album, ‘Some Nights I Dream of Doors‘. Some Nights I Dream of Doors spans 12 tracks, including a feature from English jazz musician Nubya Garcia.
Some Nights I Dream of Doors blends traditional Nigerian sounds with jazz, R&B, alternative, and pop music. The studio full-length follows 2021’s Sweetness EP and 2020’s Which Way Is Forward? EP.
Despite rich successes over the last few years; OB has never felt ready to release an album, until now, and his debut full-length, Some Nights I Dream of Doors represents a real levelling up for Obongjayar. Across twelve tracks, he deftly moves through diverse sounds and subcultures while navigating a wealth of personal and political topics.
